Paul had to defend his spiritual authority because false teachers often attacked him. He refused to compare himself to others and reminds us that is never wise to compare yourself to any other. All that we are and have comes to us from God as a gift of His grace. It is never about us being better than others. It's always about His goodness and perfect sacrifice.
