"I Will Be Your Mouth" Exodus 4:1-16

Moses has many excuses for not receiving God's calling to go to his people as God's representative. He had lost all of his self-confidence over the last 40 years as a shepherd in exile. It is important for all of us to remember, God doesn't call us because of what we have to offer Him. He calls us in our brokenness to reveal His power through us. God demonstrates to Moses several signs for him to use as evidence of God's calling. Moses remains reluctant and God promises to teach him and be his mouth. Finally the Lord relents and sends Moses brother Aaron to go with him. You and I need to remember that we are only jars of clay but we have an incredible treasure living inside us. The Lord lives in us in order to express His majesty to the world we live in.
