"Woe is You" Isaiah 5:8-24

Isaiah continues his declaration of woe on the people of Israel. All of the problems they were currently facing and the exile to come were the direct result of their rejecting and despising God and His word. They were living a self-centered and self-absorbed life. They saw God and His Law as a chain that held them back from freedom. They failed to realize that they had been deceived by Satan and what they called freedom was to be the worst form of bondage. They not only celebrated their sin that had been so deceived as to call good, evil and evil, good.
