"Hear the Word of the Lord" Isaiah 39

Envoys come to King Hezekiah from Babylon with gifts. After their departure Isaiah proclaims the word of the Lord that all of Hezekiah's possessions will be taken into Babylon and even some of his own sons will be eunuchs in the palace of Babylon. Strangely he was perfectly content with the prophecy because it meant peace in his own day. It is important for us to remember that the true prophet of God is always right in the word they proclaim in His name. We are to be discerning about those who claim to be prophets of God and not everything they proclaim is true or accurate.
