"Why Did You Send Me?" Exodus 5

Moses and Aaron appear before Pharaoh to proclaim the Lord's word and they are rejected. Not only does Pharaoh refuse to let them go he brings even greater affliction on them by requiring them to find their own straw to make the same number of bricks. With the people in great despair they turn on Moses and Moses ask God why he was sent and why the people hadn't been delivered. Doing the will of God doesn't mean that everything is going to go smooth. Doing His will often meets with resistance. There will be many times when simply don't understand the working and timing of God. We do know that to be identified as the children of God means suffering in His name but we are not alone for He is always with us and working all things together for our good and His glory.
