"You are My Friends" John 15:13-15

In this passage we hear Jesus tell us that love is always expressed in the way we give ourselves sacrificially for the benefit of others. He models this sacrificial love for us in going to the cross. He laid down His life for us and calls us friends. As His friends we live in obedience to His command to love one another. While it is true that we serve Him and are slaves of righteousness; we have been given the great privilege of friendship. Servants don't the who, what or why of their masters will. We are friends and He reveals to us all He desires. So, let's choose to live as the friends of God.
