"Love the Lord All You His Saints" Psalm 31

David confesses His transgression knowing that God was his refuge.  The reason for confession is not to inform God about something He doesn't already know but to say the same thing about it and experience the complete forgiveness that is ours by believing in His as Savior and Lord.  We have life in Him and He calls us saints not because everything we say and do is saintly but because we belong to Him.  To be loved by Him gives us a heart to love Him back and seek that which is pleasing to Him.
