"Surely the Righteous Shall Give Thanks" Psalm 140

In this Psalm David recognizes the Lord as His Deliverer, Protector and the strength of his salvation. The righteous give thanks to God because they know it is a gift they receive and the upright dwell in His presence. The Lord is the one who make us righteous and able to be in His presence through the finished work of the cross and resurrection. How can we do anything but give thanks to the Lord?
