"Give us a King" 1 Samuel 8

Samuel was judge over Israel and he made his sons to follow in his place but they didn't walk in the same surrender as their father and were perverting justice by taking bribes. So, the people demanded they Samuel appoint them a king to rule over them. This was a disappointment to both Samuel and God and even after being warned of what a king would require of them they insisted. It was a huge mistake to disregard the Lord God as the one who would rule and reign over them.
