"The Pillar of Cloud and Fire" Exodus 13:17-22

As the Lord leads Israel out of slavery He gives them festivals of remembrance to be passed on to all generations. These are to be reminders for them and their descendants of all He has done and help them to lose the mindset of slave and see themselves as the people of God. He provides powerful pictures of His presence by the pillar of cloud to lead them by day and the pillar of fire to lead them by night. For the believer we have His life in us to be our guide in all He desires to do through us. We too must forsake the mindset of slave and lives as beloved sons of God.
