"Grumbling or Trusting" Exodus 16:1-8

The journey through the wilderness is a time of testing for Israel. They knew about the God of their fathers but they still didn't understand His heart for them. They still had the mindset of slaves. When they faced a time of need, instead of trusting God they grumbled about how good things were in Egypt. They were having selective memory and forgetting the horrors of life as slaves under the tyranny of Pharaoh. The Lord was patiently teaching them His heart and desires for them.
