God's judgment is proclaimed on Eli and his wicked sons while Samuel begins to know the Lord in a new way. It was no longer about knowing about things or works of service but hearing the word of the Lord and walking in obedience. The Lord was with him and established him as a true prophet of the Lord in the land.
