"For My Own Sake" Isaiah 48:9-11
"For My Own Sake" Isaiah 48:9-11
Author:
November 22, 2022
The grace of God is evident throughout the Old Testament. God is faithful to His covenant not because of our faithfulness but because His nature is to be faithful. He disciplines His children as an act of love to prepare them for the future. Though they had profaned His name in their rebellions and idolatry He was working for His own purposes and for His glory. All of our boasting and pride is about attributing some goodness to ourselves. This passage reminds us that God will not share His glory. It has always been and will always be about His overflowing grace to the undeserving.
