In chapter 10 Moses told them they needed to circumcise their hearts. The heart of the Old Covenant was the blessings they would receive through obedience and the curses they would face as a result of disobedience. Jesus came to establish a brand New Covenant which was completely different. It wasn't based on our performance but on His. He came as the perfect sacrificial lamb, without blemish to be our once for all sacrifice for sin. There are still earthly consequences for our sin but there is no curse for the one who has entrusted themselves to Christ as Savior, Lord and Life.
