Saul continues to hunt David down to kill him but the Lord leads him to safety each step of the way. David had a dynamic relationship of seeking the will of the Lord and hearing the will of the Lord with a heart to obey. He trusted the integrity of God to keep His promises. When given the opportunity to kill Saul he refused to take matters into His own hand but trusted God to fulfill all of His promises.
