"Sanctify the Sabbath" Exodus 30:12-14

The Lord sanctified Israel to be set apart to Him and they were to display this in the faithful keeping of all Sabbaths. They were to do no work on the Sabbath. It was a day set apart to God for communion with Him. The believer is sanctified by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. While we are not called to set apart one day to God, we are called to recognize we are not our own and belong to Him. We are privileged to walk in intimacy with Him each day. He has completely sanctified our spirit, where He dwells but the journey of life is every being transformed into His image.
