"David King of Israel" 2 Samuel 5:1-10

All of Israel comes to David to make him King over the entire nation. They anointed him king recognizing he had long ago been anointed by God. At the age of 30 he is called to be the shepherd of Israel. He makes Jerusalem his capital and begins to build the city. David was successful in all of his endeavors because the Lord was with him. It is so important that we who are disciples of Jesus remember that we have God not only with us but living in us. In Christ we have everything we need for success in His kingdom. We are privileged to participate with all God desires to do in and through us for the building of His Kingdom.
