"Keep Yourself From Idols" Deuteronomy 4:15-19

Israel is reminded that they had been led by the presence of God and there was no image that could be made by man that would represent their God. They were called to worship Him alone. The New Testament writers warn the followers of Christ to keep themselves from idols as well. An idol can be far more than a graven image. It is anything we bow down to serve. Covetousness is idolatry. So, let's make sure there is nothing in our lives that distracts us from serving our King and His kingdom.
