"A Stiff-Necked People" Exodus 33:1-6

The Lord tells them it is time to leave Mt. Sinai. He affirms His promise to take them to a land filled with milk & honey and will fight for them to destroy all of their enemies but He will no longer go with them but only send an angel because they are a stiff-necked people. The people understood this to be disastrous word an show sorrow.
